K Yasuma Rare SOLD 70s Lawsuit Japan World Class Vintage Tone Steve 714-548-0385
Tone does not get any better then this with incredible voice, balance, overtones ( I can send pics but think this will be sold today Sunday Fe. 5th and have a lot of interest in Japan and in USA as well) and crystalline holographic tone. Made in the 70s by one of the best luthiers in Japan from very old wood possible from the 50s. They were threatened by Martin in the 70s so stopped production and I can see why Martin was nervous as these are world class vintage guitars. Do get tone from a rosewood back with definition and an airy quality without getting sloppy....this is a very special gutar and I own a lot of guitars both used and vintage and I think this one blows them all away.

Gibson J45 Custom Shop Limited edition. Tobacco sunburst on the top with an upgraded abalone rosette and star fretboard inlays. It spots a tight grain 3A sitka top with quilted sapele back and side stained in vintage mahogony colour to give you that deep red wine hue. The fretboard and bridge is upgraded from the usual indian rosewood to the mad rosewood. The original bone saddle has been upgraded to the FMI saddle to give you that improved aged tone with a wider spectrum.

Taylor Fall Limited 2011 -Flame AA-grade koa for this series all-koa -The rosette design incorporates a serpentine swath of koa set against creamy boxwood. Breedlove Custom Shop Revival DR with a Sitka top that has a vintage aged toner. Indian Rosewood back and sides with Grain Ivoroid bindings. 1 3/4 neck width. Ebony bridge and fretbaord with micro dot inlays. Forward shift X Bracing with heavy scalloping that produces the bass dominant growl tone found on this guitar. The plastic saddle have been upgraded to the FMI saddle and the pins are now upgraded to the Dyed bone pins. This guitar has been now fitted with the LR Baggs RTS2 pickup with volume wheel control. Angelo Di Crescenzo - Almost Like Being In Love (2011)
A popular swing jazz song published in 1947. The music was written by Frederick Loewe and the lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner. This is my version, here I sing and play guitar! The song was made popular by David Brooks and Marion Bell in the musical Brigadoon. It was later performed in the 1954 film version by Gene Kelly. Innamorata, Dean Martin song on 1890s Italian mandolin & tenor guitar (instrumental cover)
This is an instrumental cover of a song written by Harry Warren and sung by Dean Martin on the soundtrack of the 1955 Martin & Lewis movie "Artists and Models". It was subsequently covered by Jerry Vale. In the movie, Dean Martin's love interest is Anita Ekberg, and I have used various stills of them for the video. The movie also stars Jerry Lewis and Shirley MacLaine (Lewis's love interest). I have played this as an instrumental on my 1890s Umberto Ceccherini bowlback, which has exceptionally beautiful and elegant inlay (rare in old bowlbacks, which are usually unpalatably garish) and a fabulous tone. The unusual timbre is created by the double-top construction by which a second soundboard is suspended inside the bowl, not unlike the Virzi sound generating system used some decades later in Gibson mandolins and guitars. Rhythm accompaniment played on my Ozark tenor guitar, tuned GDAE. This arrangement is from Sheri Mignano's fabulous book "Mandolin Melodies".

Vintage Martin guitars--Irish Medley
This is a comparison of two 1927 Martin guitars--a 000-45 and a 00-45. I alternated between them on each of two Irish tunes--Morgan Magan and the Wise Maid--and spliced the four video tracks together. Both guitars have 12 frets to the body. The 000 is 15" wide and has a 25.4" scale length. The 00 is 14-1/8" wide and has a 24.9" scale length. They were built in the same batch at the Martin factory in late 1927 and are in original condition with the exception of replaced bridges.

This is an amazing guitar that has reflections of great old martin tone mixed with some tone from like an old FG 180 and Yairi Japan with some D 18 vintage tone mixed in with the great HD 28. Not kidding ....in the over 45 years of playing guitar this is one of the most soulful and best soundind acoustics I have ever played at any price...impossible to find....try to find another one and the story is they got threatened on a big lawsuit so got scarred and and quit making them ad did not want to battle the deep pockets of Martin,

MARTIN 2000 D15 Low Action $575 Lowered Price Will Miss This Sweet Martin Tone
This one really sounds good and makes me wonder if they might have accidently used older wood on this one as it has a ring that reminds me of a couple of pre war 30s Martin ) 17s I sold about 6 months ago. This really has a tone and is a lot of guitar for the money.It has tens on it right now and sounds this good so maybe to be safe stick with 11s or 10s.This guitar sounds like an old vintage Martin....maybe they used old wood?

This one of the nicest sounding guitars I have ever played and has the Martin magic but with better overtones, balance and orchestral voice that jumps out of the guitar. It reminds me a lot of a combination of the guitars mentioned in the title.....as it has a nice zing married to the warmth with a ring.....not kidding....this guitar is amazing and whoever made it really know what they were doing. Not sure if I am selling it at this time or not to be honest.

Robert Johnson's Crossroads Blues (live) Saiichi Sugiyama
Saiichi Sugiyama solo acoustic (1994) - this audio track was released on his 2005 compilation album "SAIICHI" (as a hidden track at the end of the CD). Here Sugiyama plays his Martin guitar tuned down in a style similar to Stephen Stills' "Black Queen" to his version of Johnson's Crossroads. Photographs by Andy Ford and John Peck.
