Ibanez A300E-VV Vintage Violin Acoustic Guitar - Quick Look @ Nevada Music UK
Here.. www.nevadamusic.co.uk Part of the Ibanez "Ambiance" range the A300E electro Acoustic is a new model for 2010 finished in an attractive Vintage Violin, perhaps the most interesting feature is the new Fishman Presys pre-amp system ... but more of that in just a moment ... The A300E has been crafted using quilted Maple top back and sides, and in fact the rear body panel has a curved, arched profile to provide playing comfort and improved feed-back prevention. The neck is Mahogany complimented by a Rosewood fretboard that has orientation markers etched onto the upper side of the neck and not on the fret board itself. Ibanez have worked hard to try and reproduce the natural sound of the instrument in an amplified environment and to this end have equipped the A300E with a Fishman Sonicore pick-up accompanied by the new Fishman Presys Blend Pre-amp that has 3 band EQ, an internal microphone, notch filter and on-board tuner. The bridge - like the fretboard is also Rosewood and uses Ibanez Advantage bridge pins for string retention and is joined by a compensated saddle for low action. In addition to the quarter inch output jack, a balanced XLR jack is included for direct connection to a PA system whilst AA battery operation avoids the difficulty in finding replacement batteries. Wooden Guitar Pick.
Just checking out my new wooden pick. Not sure what wood it is yet, but I'll find out soon enough. It really helps my tone on my acoustic. Its all mahogany, so its a dark sounding guitar. I use amercan flyer strings to brighten the tone up. I feel its all equalled out now. Sounds amazing.

DEMONSTRATING THE GORDON GILTRAP SIGNATURE 12-STRING BY VINTAGE
Recently given this to demo. It is a (relatively) low-price guitar based on a model designed and made (in the 80's) by luthier Rob Armstrong for the English guitar legend Gordon Giltrap. Overall, it represents amazing value for money at under £500 and, like many Far East-made guitars, the guys that made it have come up trumps - but then go home with a washer between them! This beastie has a Cedar top, mahogany B & S, wide rosewood neck, built-in Fishman Presys pick-up with electronic tuner. A feature is the very sexy narrow waist and small upper bout, with a large lower bout pushing out loads of volume. It will take being put into concert pitch, but I suppose the jury is out on their durability. Oh yeah, the tunes here are loose arrangements of 'Ferry 'Cross The Mersey' (?) and 'Step Inside Love' (L & M) as originally done by Gerry & The Pacemakers and Cilla Black respectively (Just to remind me of my 'home' city!) Check out the JHS website if you want to look at these. Hopefully I'll get to keep this - it even comes with it's own smart hard case.
