The best way to get Vintage tone is from a vintage parts. This is a sweet little 6" alnico speaker from the mid to late fifties. I know because I pulled the speaker myself from working vintage equipment. It looks like it was in a time capsule. A perfect exchange for that ceramic speaker in your fender champion 600. Played with a strat and a hand wired 5 watt 12ax7 / 6v6 guitar amp (also made from vintage parts!) Even the tubes are NOS! This is the tone of the golden years.

1952 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top Near Mint Uncirculated with Les Paul and Mary Ford autograph
Owned by Albert Pollard who played with Boxcar Willie before he was famous. They attended flight school together. Guitar is near mint with the original strap, case and chord. Also original to the set is the GA 20. Purchased from Albert and has never been sold public since he purchased it in 1952. All documented. Autograph to Al in 1955 from Les Paul and Mary Ford. No serial # of course since it is a 1952. Must be a later 1952 because the neck angle and action are great. Smells like a great vintage guitar should. The guitar has no checking or cracking in the finish. Clean, crisp and shinny.

varias pruebas de sonido de la guitarra fabricada por Teisco en los 60s, restaurada. es como un híbrido entre una fender Jaguar y una jazzmaster; el rango tonal es muy amplio, particularmente suena excelente para Jazz y para Surf Rock. Tiene bajos resonantes y altos brillantes y chisposos. Tonalmente, me recuerda mucho a Gretsch y al sonido Jangly Chimy característico de estas guitarras. Me parece increíble que una guitarra tan antigua y extraña tenga semejante tono. resulto ser toda una gema, un diamante en bruto. naturalmente, estas guitarras vintage suenan mejor en un amplificador de tubos, están en su salsa, brillan y sobresalen de esa forma. El video tiene cero retoque, cero edición, cero recortes, cero efectos. Lo que escucha es lo que és, ni mas ni menos. No soy experto así que no critiquen mi habilidad para tocar por favor. El micrófono usado para grabar es un Zoom H2, el amplificador es un Vox AC15. =========================== Various sound tests of the Teisco-made GHI from the 60s. The guitar was professionally restored and brought back from the dead, suddenly had a killer tone and playability. design wise it's a hybrid between a jazz master and a fender jaguar. sound wise, it sounds like those but also reminds me a lot of Gretsch and the jangly chimy tone. I wasn't expecting such a great tone out of such and old and quirky guitar. turned out to be a real gem. I'm no experto so please don't criticize my style and skill. I did my best to show the different styles <b>...</b>
