The guitar is running into a Mesa Boogie TA-15 head into a Isocab with a Celestion V-30. This guitar is available for $3590. The new Guthrie Govan Signature Antique Modern builds on the success of Guthrie's other popular Signature Models from Suhr guitars. It combines contemporary playability and versatility with an aged lacquer finish and what John Suhr refers to as the ''Holy Grail'' of tone wood combinations to create a beautiful new instrument with a chemistry and synergy that exceeds the sum of its various parts. The lacquer finish will age beautifully, let the wood breathe and allow the body to ring and sustain in a way that must be heard and felt to be believed. All those little dings, dents and lacquer checks give this guitar a great, gig-ready vibe and a familiar, worn-in feel too. The Roasted Maple neck and fingerboard undergo a special process of baking in a high-tech, oxygen-free oven at 250 degrees Farenheit. This process removes moisture and all kinds of other "impurities" in the wood, resulting in an exceptionally stable and tonally superior neck. Together, this combination provides for evenly balanced midrange, big, tight low-end and sparkly yet sweet high-end.
